"You can't drink alcohol + your own routine is important"...KIA Kim Do Young's heartfelt advice to juniors

"You can never drink during the season. You also have to value having your own routine."

Kim Do-young (KIA Tigers), who has emerged as the best superstar this year, gave generous advice to his juniors.

Kim Do-young was honored with the Best Player Award at the 2024 Korea Professional Baseball Retirement Day Awards held at Hotel Rivera in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 1st. It was more meaningful because it was Kim Do-young, who received the award at the awards ceremony in 2021, when she was a senior at Gwangju Dongseong High School.메이저사이트

Kim Do-young is the biggest star in Korean baseball in the 2024 season, in name and reality. After being called by Kia as the first choice in 2022, Kim had a batting average of 0.277, 10 homers, 66 RBIs and 38 steals in 187 games until last year, and played in 141 games this year with a batting average of 0.347 (189 hits in 544 at-bats), 38 homers, 40 steals, 109 RBIs and 143 runs (OPS) to lead Kia to the V12.

Kim also showed great presence on the international stage. He played in five Premier 12 games of 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), displaying a batting average of 0.412 with three home runs and 10 RBIs. Unfortunately, Korea failed to advance to the Super Round, which it had targeted, but Kim's performance was a great comfort to him.

Kim Do-young, who has been recognized for her contributions, has been collecting trophies at various awards ceremonies, starting with winning the MVP award along with scoring and slugging percentage titles at the KBO awards ceremony on the 26th of last month. Among them, after receiving the best player award at the Korea Bank of Korea awards ceremony, Kim Do-young said, "I dreamed of watching the seniors who are here as a child, and I think it's very meaningful because they are giving me the award. Thank you. I will continue to work hard and capture the hearts of seniors who are here so that I can continue to come to the awards ceremony."

In particular, 10 middle school players and five high school players who received scholarships and injuries from the central bank were given time to ask questions to Kim Do-young and Kim Taek-yeon (Doosan Bears), who received the Rookie of the Year award. The student players asked various questions to Kim Do-young and Kim Taek-yeon.

First, Kim faced the question of when he dreamed of becoming MVP. "I didn't think about it at all, but after hearing that, I became a little conscious," Kim said. "I tried not to care about it, so I got a good result." When asked what kind of mindset he has when he enters the batter's box, he said, "I have decided three things to think about when I enter the batter's box this year. I think about those things once again when I enter the batter's box, and then I only go into the batter's box and think about three things. Just thinking about two can make me feel at ease."

The questions continued. One player asked the difference between professional and amateur players. "I think that's the difference in mental strength. Mental health is the most important," Kim said. "I kept checking my mental strength as I played every day. Those things helped me strengthen my mental strength. Playing helped me a lot."

Afterwards, Kim was asked how she overcame the injury. Kim suffered a left finger injury while headfirst sliding at the Asian Baseball Championship (APBC) 2023 after the end of the 2023 season.

"It was very difficult when I was injured. I struggled as much as I could on the (injury) day. After that, I felt better and better. I started making plans the next day. I thought about how I could get a hit and prepared for it," he said. This question also impressed Kim Do-young.

"The most memorable player was the one who asked questions about his injury," Kim said after the ceremony. "I also asked important questions to (Kim) Taek-yeon about her physical condition. I thought, 'You know the importance,' and thought, 'Are you having a hard day due to the injury?'" Kim said. "I tried to answer that question better because I did that before."

Kim continued to give sincere advice that she couldn't finish during the Q&A session. "I can never drink alcohol during the season (even if I come to the professional league)," Kim said. "I want to say that sleep is the most important thing. It is important to always have a certain amount of sleep."

"It's a big difference to have a routine from a young age," he said. "My grades have improved since I got my routine this year. If I accumulate such things from a young age and come up with them, I will have a better body and grades," he stressed.

Kim Do-young, MVP of the 2024 season, was born in 2003 and is just 21 years old. If she is close to a high school player, she can be considered as close as possible. Therefore, these were tips that all student players would consider as "golden or jade."
